KNOTFEST METAL FESTIVAL STARRED BY SLIPKNOT AND NIGHTWISH TO DEBUT IN FINLAND IN AUGUST 2022

Slipknot’s performance originally planned for August 2021 transforms into a two-day Knotfest metal festival and moves to 2022. Confirmed acts on the program feature Bring Me The Horizon (UK), Arch Enemy (SE), Stam1na (FI) and Blind Channel (FI).

Slipknot’s self-curated metal festival has been held in multiple international locations around the globe since 2012. Described as the dark carnival experience, the unforgettable event will take place in the Nordics for the first time. Knotfest stands among the most notable metal festivals in the world, and will take place in Turku, Finland on the weekend of August 12-13th, 2022. The tickets are now on sale at Lippu.fi.

The first line-up release includes the phenomenons of modern metal, Slipknot, which is the self-righteous headliner of the festival Saturday. The highlighting act for Friday night, Nightwish, is globally the most successful Finnish artist. Friday, the first festival day, is also starred by  Stam1na, the progressive thrash metal pride of Finland. Saturday will be starred by the British modern metalcore leaders Bring Me The Horizon, Sweden's melodic death metal forefronters Arch Enemy, along with Finnish Blind Channel, who gained extreme international success in Eurovision 2021. Additional line-up announcements will follow.

In addition to the top line-up of it’s genre, Knotfest is a complete metal carnival with experiential program and sideshows built around the theme. The festival offers e.g. an interactive Knotfest museum, where fans get to experience the over 20-year career of Slipknot through photo and merchandise exhibitions and a photo wall.
