Altamullan Road - Johanna Iivanainen & Johanna Kurkela

JOHANNA IIVANAINEN & JOHANNA KURKELA ON ALTAMULLAN ROAD TOUR TOGETHER – NEW SINGLE OUT NOW

Johanna Iivanainen and Johanna Kurkela, who released their first single together in April, will take on to a large concert hall tour in November. Both singers have done impressive careers in Finnish music, and now with this new ensemble the two of them will release a debut album in September. Altamullan Road tour will be held in two parts, the first during November and December 2020, and the second during January and February 2021. Tour ticket sale starts on Tuesday the 2nd of June at 9 at the venues’ box offices.

Iivanainen and Kurkela have been friends for over a decade, and during that time they have for example done a very successful ”Iivanainen-Kurkela Gemini” tour together. The idea of a band was first mentioned in 2013, but not until the Altamullan Road project have they made music together. The ensemble’s music is emotional and cinematic dream pop, that beautifully emphasizes the singers’ spectacular voices.

Iivanainen and Kurkela’s second single ”Underwater” is now out. It is a powerful but graceful song, which also has an impressive, animated music video, done by Tommi Rahko. This unique music will be experienced all around the country, when Altamullan Road tour starts in November.
